SLIDING GATE HAS DEFECTIVE PARTS AND CAUSES INJURY

Plastic nuts used to limit the travel of a sliding gate can become cracked. When this happens, it indicates that they are no longer able to limit the function of the gate, so the gate operator will continue to run even after the limit was previously set. This can cause serious personal injury and even death.

This was discovered during a site inspection by Mike Panish, Gate Expert Witness, for a wrongful death legal case where the gate fell off of the track.
